    Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! I personally like the binding to be able to set up the entire quilt. It should be the beginning and the end of your quilt. If you have a medium gray that you are centering on black would do the trick. The front of the quilt may have a resounding color in it that will set it out too. Be sure to look at the front carefully to find a predominate color to possibly coordinate to the binding. BTW the "help" section at the bottom of each page here (follow the button) will give you instructions on how to upload a picture.
