I'm thinking about doing a quilt using the depression block. I'm thinking about doing it in B&W but I still want to use another color to make it pop. Where would I put the "pop color"? I have tried laying it out but just can't seem to see the whole picture. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Would be fun to pick one triangle at random in each block.

If you look on page two of the block on quilters cache it shows the whole quilt. I think I'd put the bright so that it's in the center of the black.

There are soooooo many other colors that are used in b&w quilts that I don't think there's any standard. I've seen hot pink, teal, lemon yellow, lime and tangerine used.

I made a tote bag for a friend for Christmas last year and used lime green block every so often. It was really cute!

Red looks good, and I've also seen yellow. I like the look of that too.

I did one in B&W for a friend when her husband died. They were BIG Auburn University fans, so I appliqued blue and orange hearts on one corner. I am working on another that will have some jewel tones just scattered through the top.
