Help figuring out pinwheels please
Not even sure how to ask this so that anyone can understand what I am trying to do but here goes! If I am making an 8" finished pinwheel block and on one of the four parts of the pinwheel I want to use two fabrics (so one of the blades has two fabrics instead of one) what size do I need to cut the triangles for the blade that has two triangles instead of one and what size triangle for the regular blade (the other 3)? I hope someone has their thinking cap on cause mine just isn't working.
Thanks for any replies.

Is it this double pinwheel block pattern you are thinking of? If so, this website gives cutting information for an 8" block:

Thank you sooooo much. This is not the pattern but it sure is the measurements I needed. I want the effect of a smaller pinwheel overlapping the 8 inch one. This will work. Thank you, thank you.

If you just are making a simple pinwheel, you can make them using HST. I would make those by cutting 5" squares and you will get two HST from each set. There are a variety of blcoks called pinwheel.
