    Maybe it is supposed to be a "mini" fan and set individually in the quilt? It does look like you would sew two together, matching '5' on one to '4' on the other.

    Maybe seeing it colored in will help you?

    try English paper piecing instead - much easier to do.

    Thanks, Agape. OK.........the first two blocks line up but the 3rd block, thats where the problem comes in with the blades. The blades on #1 and 2, they r up and down, but block 3, the blade is not up and down. No matter how i turn the block.
