I'll be driving around the country for the next 2 weeks, from So. Calif. to Missouri & back. Anyone have any favorite quilt shops in Phoenix, northern Texas, southwest Missouri, southern Wyoming, Salt Lake City, southwest Idaho or Las Vegas? I will need to get out & um, stretch my legs at least ONCE in a while, right?

What a perfect time to check out some of the shop hop stores! Check out the https://www.fabshophop.com and you will come across quite a few to visit. 'Course there are always the fun little local shops that hold wonderful surprises. My favorites. Honestly! No matter where you go.....any quilt shop is a treat and well worth stretching your legs over. Have fun!

Oh, this is fun for the geographer / quilter. My husband and our little black dog named Freddy (who has well-branched family tree alongside a very deep gene pool...he's a mutt) will be hitting the road in a few weeks...going from the San Francisco Bay Area to St. Louis, MO via I-10, then across Arkansans, and heading north on I-55 to St. Louis. Any suggestions for "quilt-shop-stops" along the route?

Our return will probably be on I-80 back to CA. We did that route a couple of years ago...and I found a great shop in Laramie, WO. The owner was a woman who had fled the SF Bay Area for the sanity of Laramie and open spaces.

When we stop for the evening, I always check the local phone book for quilt shops. I have a few that I noted in my log, but that's at home. If I can remember, I'll post those spots / addresses soon.

Sounds like we're going along the same route! I'm going So Calif to Missouri (near Jefferson City), then up to Southern Idaho & back home via Las Vegas. I'm leaving Sat. morning...and of course I'll be up late doing my laundry so I'll have clean clothes to wear LOL.
If I come across some good quilt shops, I'll post 'em here too.
