Help, it grew!

I'm still working on my first quilt.
I finished the top and then I wanted to cut the back piece for it. Fortunately I decided to measure... my 38 by 58 inch quilt is now 69 1/2 inches by 42 1/4 inches. Does that happen often?

I forgot to include the measurements for the boarder for the long one along with really scant 1/4". I'm not so sure what happened with the short side.
Glad I ordered more backing fabric than I expected to need.

I think this has happened to all of us  It was good you ordered extra backing and a good thing for all of us to remember to do :D:D:D
Also, sometimes you may get a great inspiration to add an additional row or border, and you then you will still have enough... any extra backing fabric can always be used to make a pillow or another accessory to match your quilt  A quilt as a gift and then accessories for a future gift :D:D:D
