read your fusible and see what it says. if it can't be stitched through, it will hold up as a wall hanging very well without any.

What a stunning wall hanging. That is just so realistic. I have a niece who would love that!
    And you are so close!

Your quilt is absolutely stunning. My best friends sister would love it. Can you tell us the name of this pattern??? Very good suggestions have been already noted so all I can do is wish you the best of luck.

OMG! That is so beautiful! I am a horse enthusiast, (which reminds me, I should be out feeding my old mare right now,) and I know that would certainly covet that piece of artwork if someone gave it to me. I think that whatever you do, it will not be very noticeable. The image overtakes the tiny holes in its beauty.

I usually use Steam-a-Seam 2 Lite for applique like this and then straight sew around the edges to secure them. I hope you can work this out so you can send it on to your sister because it is gorgeous!!! If it is going to be a wall hanging, you can probably skip the sewing as long as it will not be washed. Not sure if you have sewn too much already to be able to skip the edge sewing.
