I think if you can find the primary rainbow stripe, that I would use that for sashing. It was a very popular seller a few years ago but I saw a similar print last year?

I see a rich black to give it drama. Black can solve a multitude of problems but to tell you the truth I bet it all turns out great. Let's see your pics once you decide.

Why not do a Window block around each one I can't think of the correct name for the block I mean but it makes it look like your looking out side a window. 8-) And use a Med shade of gray with a black.

I like the idea of a floral for the sashing and the outside border. The blocks are beautiful, you've done great work. I'd love to see the finished quilt.

Awww...this was the first quilt I made also! I finished it with the blue sashing, green and blue borders, and blue backing. (just like the pattern!) I liked it, and felt the yellow was toned down considerably with the cool blue and green, Mine was twin sized. That brings back memories! I'd love to see what you decide!

Oh someone mentioned print, maybe jungle print or hawaiian (sharp), eyes would be drawn to the wild factor lol... I still think it could make a intereting DP (smile)
