Help! How do you get the skunk smell out of the cutting mats??

My largest mat is more than five years old, and if I turn it over, the smell still bothers me. Only a whiff, now, in comparison to what it was in the beginning, but it is there. Can't remember what I did to make the mat usable. Good luck, piecefully, the old one

As for the smell, I find that Odo-Ban, which is only available at Sam's Club (not Wal-Mart), is great for most smells and is a disinfectant, too. You buy it by the gallon concentrate, and dilute with water. Use different solutions for different purposes. It has an aroma that is similar to Old Spice, which I happen to like. I use it for pet smells all the time.
Your mileage may vary.

LOL When I got it and got it in the car I noticed the smell, turned around and went back and asked if I could it exchange it for one that didn't smell so bad and the lady said they all smell. I said "OH NO the shipping truck must have run over a skunk!" Thats when she laughed and said "No they come that way from the company, it'll wear off soon."
