Here's one for you.
When I am cutting long strips, I have to fold the fabric. (My cutting board is only 24" long by 20" wide.) So, when I fold my fabric and then cut it, the material is wavy, or curved. How do I cut my fabric strips without the curves?

I heard that expression before, but I don't know what it is.
And that darn 1/4" and scant 1/4" seam.

I make king sized quilts when it is time to do the border I find it hard to make it lay flat.I measure down the center and all but my quilter says very kindly there is room for improvement.Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

What is raw edge applique, and what is it supposed to look like 10 washes later?
How do I get blood/coffee/cola/cat pee out of my quilt?
What's the difference between a fat and skinny quarter?
How do I know my quilt will hold up to wear?
How can I get a copy of your ebook? :)

I was making a tablerunner to put in a quilt show. I decided I wanted to have a half quare triangle on the ends rather than a square end. I did not have a pattern for the table runner so I did not know how to figure out what size to make the square. I was eventually able to find my answer for this project, but there must be a formula out there for quilters to figure this out when they are making their own patterns.
