    1. What is the best way to mark your quilt for quilting?
    2. When choosing fabrics for a quilt what is best way to do it? Start with a focal fabric or border fabric first or choose the block colors and then find border fabric?
    3. How do you make a quilt sleeve?
    4. What types of rulers do quilters absolutely need?
    5. What is the easiest way to do mitered corners on borders?

How to quilt as you go?
I always have to look up what the letters mean Make a list of them like a cookbook has subsatutions and equivilances on the inside covers.
I feel this would be a great addition to your book.
    Best of luck!

After you have a quilt top quilted, and you spot a mistake, is there any way you can fix that, or are you just stuck with it.

I'll tell you how NOT to do it. The last (only) time I did it I layed it out on my husbands shop floor and used a 12' long aluminum strip as a guide with heavy pieces of steel placed strategically along the strip to hold it down. Then I scooted along the floor and cut the fabric. Did one helluva number on that rotary cutting blade against the concrete floor let me tell you!!
Oh sheesh! What WERE you thinking? I'm not laughing at you, hopefully with you. I sort of did the same thing using a piece of scrap linoleum to cut on.
I am laughing at you and with you, I literally sat here and laughed til my eyes watered!!! Loved it, something I would have tried before reading on this forum!!

    1) How do I plan out a quilting area in my home?
    2) Is there an easy way to measure what I need to buy?
    3) What are 'quilter's essentials' to get started with a new hobby?
    4) What kind of needle do I use and how often do I replace it (machine/handwork)?
    5) When and where did quilting originate and evolve?
    6) How do I fix a hole in a quilt?
    7) How should I prepare fabric and avoid colors running in a finished quilt?
    8) How can I fold/display/store quilts?
