    Default Help with Innov'is VQ2400 Dreamcreator..Please..

I have been doing some appliqué and I was doing a blanket stitch around a design. it stitched out beautiful.. the next day I turned on the machine and tried to do the same stitch and the machine will only do one stitch no matter which design I choose, don't know what the name of the stitch is but it goes straight and then it does a v and back to the straight stitch.. The machine will do a regular stitch but when I try to change to one of the decorative stitch it just does that one stitch with the v.. It's like the machine is stuck or locked into that stitch.. i don't know if I pushed something or what.. anyone have this machine and can tell me what to do... beside taking it in to the dealer..

Go figure I have so much Christmas stuff to finish for present..and now a broken or stuck machine.. Thanks for your help..next will be to visit the dealer ..

    Quilt Lady,

Can you post a picture of your machine screen? There is a "lock" button you may have accidentally hit. I use it to prevent accidentally changing settings.

If your machine has a memory function, you can save your favorites (stitch, length and width) to a memory pocket for use again later. Do you have the manual for your machine? If so, Check for the lock button picture. It looks like a regular pad lock.

The other tip is to check your preferences pages. Scroll through them and check each setting. You want the one with the black box around it for default settings.

Hope that helps. Post back here and we may be able to help trouble shoot for you.

It sounds like it's stuck on blind stitch.

My Jamone went crazy a couple of years ago. It was sewing backwards. I thought for sure the machine was a goner. But I took it into the Quilting store. All that was really wrong was it needed a new foot peddle. Cost me a 100.00. Works great now.

Before I would bring it in for repair, I'd call Brother..877-276-8437. They might be able to help you without bringing it in for service. A dealer will always tell you to bring it in.

Checking back to see if you are back on-line with your machine. Nothing like the dealer looking inside. I dropped a screw from the feed dog plate into the machine. Took it in the next day and they retrieved it in 3 seconds. Good Luck!
