How about a snap bag. I just made one the other day and loved it. Here's a link to one, you'll have to copy and paste it to your browser. When I googled snap bag, this came up from one of our member's posts! I just made one last week and it was a "snap" to make. You don't have to make it with a quilt square. You can just use pretty fabric and sandwich it with batting and quickly quilt it. Only difference from mine and the one on this site is that I didn't sew off the corners to make a bottom. Also, My lining is 16" x 8" and my outside fabric and batting is 10" x 8". It is centered on the lining fabric, quilted, casing turned down 1 1/2" twice to overlap the front fabric and stitched in place. Sides sewed up and turned right side out. And there you have it. They open right up and snap back in place when you let it go. Very Clever.

How about making some quilted, book covers, for diary, perpahs some coil baskets/bowls for tossing those things that tend to clutter her room. What about a quilted bed runner that might coordinate with the quilt fabric she wants to use for her bed quilt, at a later time. That's it for me.

How about an organizer that hangs on the back of her door to catch all those things that never seem to have a home? You could use custom colors, and maybe make a few small ones out of clear vinyl to hold jewelry or photos of her friends?
