If you have any kind of museum in your area they may have a textile curator that could estimate the age of the fabric so you can put a "circa" on it. The pattern name is Ocean Waves. You could also put "obtained from ____________ (insert the seller's last name) family on ___________ (insert date received)

I don't know if your are still wondering what the pattern is, but it's an Oceans Wave patten. It's absolutely beautiful. What a treasure.

Thanks for identifying the quilt. I'll be sure to include that info on the label.

    Perhaps a "first person" account?

My maker hand quilted me with love, and then I was lost for awhile.I came to live with ...... wrapped around a Mustang fender. Was it protecting me, or I the fender? I ...............

    Just a thought.

My DH had a Mustang and I called her "the Mistress" - I swear he was quite possessive of the piece of junk. Therefore I can totally see how the fender of a Mustang could be protected by whatever means necessary. Not sure on the label though.

    "The Metal Wrapper" ????

Again, "one man's trash is another women's treasure". I think the pattern is birds in the air.
