Help me select a new sewing machine Please!!

I love my brothers, the little cs6000i would be perfect for me if it had a larger throat space, I still use it alot
but just bought an innovis qc 1000 because they are being discontinued and I got a great deal, it does more than
I will ever use. One thing nice is all the feet for one machine fit the other! Whatever you choose you will love!

My DD has had the cs6000i for several years and had been very happy with it. My concern about the Emb. machine is the 4x4 emb. area. If you or your DH find you enjoy emb. you will out grow that hoop fast. Decide what you can afford first then get the machine that will fit your needs

Wow, you guys are great. I have been leanning more toward the PC420. Does any one know if it has drop feed dogs? Once I get the nerve to fmq I don't want to have to use the plate to cover the feed dogs. Your comments have been very helpful. The information is very valuable. But the final decission is not made yet. But I am closer now than what I was thanks to all your help. Everyone is such a big help. Thank you so verry much!

For those of you that gave you opinion and advise, I thank you. I went to Wal Mart and purchases the SQ 9050. It came with a extention table, quilting foot for fmq, walking foot and is computerized. Someone mentioned that if I had never used a computerized sewing machine to get a smaller one and see how I like it before going for one that is very extravigant. Excellent advise. I like this one, it has 140 stitch functions. Many that inpressed me very much. It also has 55 alphanumeric stitches it does. Which satisfied the embrodery interest of the dh. I sampled it by doing his call sign and he was tickled to death. Thank you to everyone who assisted me in making my decission, your advise was very valuable. Happy sewing.

if you go to a dealer you might be able to get two preowned. one for you one for him. I don't have a brother.sorry. My sister in law has a brother embroidery only with the large and small hoops. It's 4 years old and as long as it is cleaned often it gives her no trouble. If she gets to busy it lets her know! I don't know the exact size or brand but she has done the backs of several jean jackets for friends. Good Luck!!
