    It came out of the January 2005, McCall's Quick Quilts / designed by Ellie Brown... it wasn't suppose to have large space... thanks though... Quilter 1234

    If you want the center to be less plain you can make any 4 inch block you like for the center. I used this star to make memory quilts from pajamas that I posted a few days ago if you would like to look, it may give you more ideas to dress up your blocks.
