Help, my walking foot doesnt walk
#21
My walking foot quit walking once...after about 4 quilts! I looked it over and over...the lever that sits on the needle screw thingy (LOL) was sticking in the up position! I could move it easily with my finger, but on the machine it would stick up more often that falling back down as the needle went down. I asked myself what would it hurt to put a drop of machine oil into it, since it wasn't working anyway. I did it and it has been working ever since!
If someone dropped my machine I most certainly would be livid and would demand replacement/repair and then test drive it while there and not just a drive around the block...have them set up a spot where you can sew for at least 30 minutes. Bring in a project to work on...something you do much of...straight stitching or other type stitches you use. Try out every feature your machine has to be sure everything works!! Sure hope you got that mans name who dropped your machine! Or followed him inside so that everyone there knew he'd dropped it.
