    Default Help needed for design-please!

Why is, just when I have to make a lap quilt in four weeks does my imagination draw a blank? I want to incorporate some music sheet fabric into the design,it is for a man so can use blacks, creams and some other bright to liven it up.I know there are ideas out there, you are such a creative lot, just take into consideration the time I have and the fact that these old hands make working slow.Really don't want to use log cabin this time around. Thank you all. Letty

How about MSQC Merry Go Round quilt? You could use the music as the center large square and the blacks/tans for the lattice work. Watching Jenny on youtube sure makes it look easy but the pattern looks complicated to non quilters.

You could use the sheet music fabric as a wide border, around a large panel or pieced block.

There is a pattern called TAXI that is free on the Hancock of Paducah website (select pattern and then select free). I am working on it with colors of red, black and white for a child's charity quilt. It sure goes fast. I have seen various musical instruments fabric on eBay. Good luck !!

Just finishing my first d9p. Wow, so fast, very cool and easy as pie. Love Nessie's idea of sheet music for a border.
