Has any one made a quilt out of infant/baby's clothing? Would you treat it the same way as a t-shirt quilt using fusible web to stabilize it or something else? Some of the clothing is very cute but very stretchy too. I think I want to add sashing between all the pieces with maybe small 9 patch cornerstones. Just want it to hold up over the years for my grandchildren as it is their clothing.

Hope someone can answer your question, but I would think if it is stretchy you would have to use a stablizer.

Here's a quilt I made from my DGD's baby clothes. It's my own design using the fun & done template. If you haven't ever heard of that, here's a website that shows the template. http://www.prairieskyquilting.com/fun_n_done_main.htm

I used stablizer on all of the stretchy material.

i made one. Use a stabilizer. The best one I saw had a black border around each block and then sashing of a different color. The black really unified the shirts. With a baby quilt, I wouldn't use black but possibly another color.
