Default Help! Oil for a Tin Lizzie?!

    Hello quilting friends!

I recently acquired an older used tin Lizzie machine. I’ve been searching everywhere about what kind of oil to get and have not turned up much information. I know the Manuel says to buy directly from them, but what do other tin Lizzie owners use?

    Any info would help!

    Thank you!
    Savannah

You can get sewing machine oil at any sewing machine repair shop or dealer. Some quilt shops carry it also. As long as it says "sewing machine oil". Don't put 3-in-1 or any other kind of oil on it.

I have a Tin Lizzie and I use plain ol' sewing machine oil. It came with the machine when I bought it. Don't use any other kind of oil but sewing machine oil.

I use 3 in 1 oil for my TL..now a days it comes with a zoom spout so that makes it easier to get in all the spots..just make sure it's the original and not synthetic 3 in 1.

As long as you buy sewing machine oil you will be fine. Does your manual tell you where to place your drops of oil? That’s very important to follow the manufacturers directions. Good luck and Welcome to the board!
