I have an old EZ3 Grace frame that I have set up but haven't installed the leader clothes yet. Any tips on that process? Also, what do you do about the sides of the quilt on that frame? How do you keep them taut enough? I know the newer ones have a side rail feature but not this older one. Thank you for any help on this.

I have a frame with a short arm machine on it. I use those large plastic clamp thingys on velcro strips to add tension to the sides of my quilt. You can get the large plastic clamps at WalMart or Home Depot, etc. The strips of velcro come in rolls in boxes at JoAnn or Hancock, etc. Get the kind with adhesive on the fuzzy side and put that along the side frame. Then put one end of the loop part through the ring on the clamp and sew or staple it. Cut the loop strip and make it looooong so you can hook it to the quilt and then pull it and attach it to the fuzzy part on the frame.

Are your poles wood or metal? Mine are wood and all I did was attach the leaders with thumb tacks. For metal on my machine frame I glued velcro on the poles and then added the other side of the velcro to my leaders.
