I say narrow white, the wide grey, then black binding.

I don't like the white because it's visually too "light-weight"compared to the "heaviness" of the darker colors.

What about taking the top, finding a gray to make a narrower border, then add your black.

    Beautiful quilt!

I too like the narrow white with wider black, one thing I would add to give the white added strength would be a red or gray flange either first or between the white and black. Beautiful quilt top!!!

What a pretty quilt! I have no new ideas for borders, just had to admire your work.

I agree with 117becca that the white is too stark to really go well with the rest of the quilt. I do love the colors in the quilt and would like to see you continue to use the tones you have going so if it were me I would find a grey and use that as the inner border and then the black. I think using a small binding of red would really set it off nicely and pull out that bit of pop to the outer edge also.

Do you have any more of the red (?) or grey? Maybe a thin border of a red followed by a big border of grey. Or a big border of black, with a grey for binding~~~

Red and Grey for the border. You will have to experiment with how wide and in which order for each.

    Either could be a print.

I just don't like the red. Can you try some other combos and post them??

The white is too much of a contrast for my taste, unless it is a really narrow border. I would go with blacks and grays. Will be a lovely quilt!!

I would use the red swirl fabric in the quilt for a border the size you want. The quilt pattern will float and not look like a border was added just to make it bigger. I like the colors you choose for that pattern. Very nice.
