If I squint, do I see purple? How about a narrow deep purple border instead of the white one? You have several black prints in the flimsy so it might be acceptable to use another black or dark gray print in the outer border. The one you have seems a bit stark to me. Love the fabrics in the top itself! You did well. What are your plans for the back?

For me, I'd use a somewhat narrow (1 1/2") solid black as the first border.
Then add at 2 1/2" red, then another black wider still.
Binding: black.
I wouldn't use the white, as it seems too stark for me... However, like everyone in this world.. it's just an opinion. Wink, wink..
Whatever you decided to do.. please share the finished quilt.

Thank you, Thank you so very much !
I am so grateful to all the quilters that helped me with my border confusion.....I went into JoAnn's to day and I found the black with white poka dots....could not find the red with swirls BUT was able to fine the red with white poka dots...soooooooo have decided to put a narrow white boarder, then a red border and then the black border and then bind with red....I really like this one....think I just might keep it for myself, unless of course if my youngest would like it!.....many thanks for all the help.....Patty
