Help with Pfaff Grand Quilter 1200
#1
Can anyone help me out with a threading guide for this machine? I have tried ordering a manual to no avail. Ive had machine over a yyear and cant use it cause I get frustrated by thread breaking. Am sure it is operator error, just need instructions! It has the pre.tensioner that im thinking iam getting wrong. Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Have you looked at any utube videos? Sometimes you can find what you need doing a search.
I have a GQ but it's at my studio so undortuantley I can't give you any particulars now.
Are you making sure you are threading it with the foot in the up position?
I only use the Inspira needles and King Tut thread.
Also, make sure you aren't sewing too fast - I tend to break thread when I start whizzing through a quilt too quickly.

I did a search online and found this:http://www.webcrawler.com/webcrawler...FRpNgwodHSrzXQ
there are a ton of sites that say you can get a PDF manual for your machine.
Hopefully that will help. If not, perhaps someone can copy and fax or scan to you.

Thought I'd hit the jackpot, but after quite a while looking through all these links, again I find NO available manual for the 1200. I do, however, have a very nice QB member that is going to send me a threading diagram. Again, the QB comes through for me!! Thank you!!

I have the grand quilter. If you don't find the pdf online get in touch and I will send a copy in the mail. I bought my machine used and definitely had to get used to the tension. I fiddled with it for a few months until I had the tension just like I wanted it. I have to say I truly love the machine, although I found that I don't much like quilting in any form... hand, small machine or long arm. I'm a piecer at heart but once in a while I quilt one to save money instead of paying a quilter.
