I agree, remove the border. Then cut your white square down to 5.5 inches I would cut the new border at 1.0 inch. Once sewn on it should equal 6.5 inches. No trimming required.

Rethink that advice. I think people are getting confused with unfinished & finished sizes. Big Difference !

grab your handy dandy seam ripper and remove the pink and add a wider border

tedytrser---on your second block, you may not have to add borders, but you need to leave enough fabric around the outside edge for the seam allowance. Both of those cute flowers need to be moved down to allow for the seam allowance.

Just remember--The seam ripper is my friend. I got that from Bonnie's site, Quiltville.com. I think it is the best advice.
I tell myself that everytime I have to rip.

Definitely remove the pink border. Then, square up the white block accurately, and add a new border. Are you adding a binding or a border? If border, cut a new one accurately and everything should be squared. We've all been there done that at one time or another.

And I go along with prior comments to take it off & redo it. It will look just fine. Beautiful colors!! :-)
I ditto this comment. it is easy to make the mistake you have made. I noticed on the top right of the block that it apears that the stitching line is a little crooked that could also cause problems if the 1/4 seam is a bit of

No no no - the white block is fine. If you trim that down you will have the wrong size all over again.

I just think you forgot to add on an extra 1/2" on your trim for seams. It is an easy mistake to make, and fix. Just put another 1/2" on the trim. There is no way without redoing it, I am afraid. Good luck.
