    Default help, please!!!

i used masking tape to outline my quilt project, and then put it aside thinking i'd get back to it. now, it's two years later. i have just finished it, but now the glue from the tape won't come out. i did not come out in the wash. any and all suggestions on what will take the glue out would be most appreciated.

One word, Goop! Smear it on, rub it in good and let it set awhile before washing. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Goo Gone, you can get it at Walmart, or try 1 part Dawn with 2 parts peroxide, they both work wonders!!

Goo gone may work also. Try it on the back first. I have no idea if it will affect the colors.

Lighter fluid. Lighter fluid is Naptha which is commonly used in dry cleaning. Squirt it on the spots, let sit for a couple minutes then wash as usual. It won't leave a smell on your clothes or fabric. If you have a tough grease stain nothing else will remove try the lighter fluid. It won't hurt your colors either.

Use common sense ~ Don't smoke or use it around an open flame.

I don't know if this will work for you or not.....depending on how big your sticky mess is....but I had a robe that came into contact (how?) with some wide mailing tape; I used nail polish remover and it took the sticky off. Then rewashed as usual and good as new!

My cure also. Also takes black grease off the carpet that DH drags in on his boots.

yep..>Goo Be Gone..or Goo Gone..or Dis-solve it. They are citrus based and are great for removing anything sticky. Label glue, decals on cars and bumper stickers are easily removable with them.
