I love your colorwash quilt and agree that the quilting should be diagonal because it will not show!!!

I agree that the quilting is not going to show much. But if you are going to do something "curvey" in the borders maybe a curvy meander would be good in the center. I suggest some simple design that follows the light and dark bands you have. Look forward to seeing the finished project.

I agree with PaperPrincess, the center is beautiful. And, it is busy. I would not worry too much about which pattern you do. I would suggest you pick whatever you find easiest. OR, whatever pattern you have been wanting to work on. It really won't stand out very much on that beautiful center.
