If you look at my profile picture, this is just something I threw together. No pattern, Just did it. I'm kind of like that, I get an idea in my head and make it happen. I have since finished it and have donated it for a raffle. Several women that I do Zumba with have seen it and have asked me to make one. I have no clue how much to charge. Its all fabric I have in my stash. The wall haning is just over 38" x 50". I also have to put a value on the wall hanging donated in case the team leader wants to put in an auction.
I don't know how to put a value on something that I just enjoy doing. I don't make something with the intent on selling them, I make them for family, friends or just to make.

    This link may help you.

Have always heard the "rule of thumb" price is 3 time your cost of materials (fabric, batting, thread)

    Best of luck

When I make something using my stash fabrics I don't always know how much I paid for each yardage of fabric. so I use a figure of $5 per yard. I figure the yardage by measuring the finished piece and multiply by three (top, bottom, batting). Using this figure I then multiply by three to calculate my total charge. Of course if I feel its too much, I'll adjust the price. :)
