    just make sure that the quilting in the rest of your piece balances out with the swirls. if you leave too much area with not quilting, it will bunch or stick out later.

    Wow, that is great for a first time FMQ. I've been quilting for 2yrs and I'm not brave enough to try free motion yet :?
