    If you plan to sleep under it, the less stitching the better. Check your batting plastic bag for the required density of stitches. II don't have any specific ideas about what designs to use, but would do one type in the light fabric and another in the red. A feather and flower stitch would be nice for the border, where you do feathers say for 12 inches and then a flower design and on to feathers. In th red You could do a cross hatch using the corners of the white to make your first row of stitching (leaving space between the corners and the stitching) and then space 3, 4, 5 inches whatever to fill in the space. Maybe do the feather and flower design in the white spaces then or just big flowers in the bigger white spaces and a serpentine in the narrow white strips. You can do something simllar to a daisy fmq really easy with little or no markings.
