    Default Help with a Sizzix

My neighbor sold me her Sizzix Big Shot, so I ordered the Hexagon Die (#549790) for EPP.

She gave me some clear pads (from what I understand, one to go on top and one to go on the bottom of the die).

Do I need a cushion pad along with it? If so, does anyone know which one I will need?

I'll be cutting cardstock for EPP pieces.

    Thanks from a non-sizzix user!

    Hi Red,

I’m not sure which die you have but if they are big thick foam looking ones these will cut fabric as well and you will just need the clear pads (pad-die-fabric/paper-pad).

if they are thin pieces of metal (thinlits) these will only cut paper/card and you will need the multi purpose platform which is essentially a chunk of white plastic to make the sandwich thicker. Then you need platform-pad-die-paper-pad

sizzix have some good tutorials on their site

The cutting pads as you describe is all you need for the bigz dies. The other dies used mostly for scrapbooking like the thinlets would need additional pads.
