I'd take several of these suggestions and blend them:

Bo-Nash makes a fusible powder, I'd work some powder into the hole, cover the hole with parchment, hit it with an iron to fuse it. Then I'd dab some Fray Block around the edges, you wouldn't want them to fray after several washings. Then, as Genden said, I'd embroider over the hole with thread the same color as the background fabric.

Thanks for all of your great advice. I knew I could depend on you for a lot of ideas. I cut a small circle of steam a seam and using a very fine crochet hook I worked it in between the top and the batting and then I used my Clover mini iron to seal it into place. I then used fray check on the edges of the small slit and now I have to hunt to find the hole. I don't think I will have to do any embroidery but I will wait until the entire quilt is finished before I decide.

You migbt want to put a small afety pin near the repair so you can keep an eye on it for a while.

Now that I can see it I might add just a few stitches in the teal from the center outwards on just every other petal in just a few of the flowers thus cover it a bit more.

The teal is actually the blue quilting pattern on the whole cloth and it will wash out when I am finished so only the quilting thread will show. The bride loves black and white but I hate to use black embroidery on a wedding quilt. I will probably use white embroidery thread on the flowers.
