Seriously...I just had the same thing happen yesterday, then I realized I didnt put the pressure foot down. Sounds silly I know, but could it be?? also check for lint balls in your bobbin case. Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice. I cleaned everything and rethreaded, changed the bobbin & things seem to be fine.
