Help with Thin Polycotton
I have been trying since this summer to get fabric to make a quilt for my grandson. I think I finally have everything except that one of the fabrics is a thin polycotton, it's all I have been able to find in that color.
My question is, would it be ok to use as is in a quilt or is there any way to make it thicker?
I don't really know anything about fusible interfacing but saw somewhere that it might help.

Don't use it is my advice. I finished up several UFO's of a friend's mom when she passed away. There were several poly/cottons. When I got to them in the quilting stage, threads broke and skipped. It was a nightmare on my DSM. Eventually I turned the others over to a long armer who complained about them too. It's best to not use them.

Another side note. Poly cotton doesn't shrink like cotton does. If the pieces you are using are large in the quilt, they may stand out because everything else will be looking wrinkled and that one won't.

I would look for a 100% cotton fabric that comes close to the pattern of your poly/cotton. It is always good to have uniformity in fabrics in a quilt when ever you can. Sounds like you are taking a risk with this one.

Thanks for all the help!
This quilt has been such a pain trying to find the fabrics. First because one of the sports team fabric I was looking for was out of season, then because of the pandemic.
I'm usually a 'if it's meant to work, it will' type of person. lol. I never formally learned how to sew let alone quilt. This is my first project that I need the rows to align (I'm terrified that it's not going to happen).
