Okay here is the thing. Looking at batting sizes I am at a loss as to how big a twin quilt really is. mine so far is measuring 66x88. is that about the right size for a twin quilt? or is it still too small?

My little handy dandy chart says that twin is 63 x 87 approx. It looks like you are right on target. Just measured my twin bed. Your quilt size looks good. Hope this helps.

My handy dandy reference says: 70" x 91". Close enough!

that it does. I was planing on laying it on my dd's bed to see how well it fits tomorrow because she is in it right now. now I don't have to worry about adding one more boarder on the bottom and top. thank you so much

batting is sized larger than the actual top measurements to give you quilting room...so an easy way to decide is to take the batting measurement and subtract 8" from length and width (that's 4" all the way around for quilting/squaring) and use that measurement to make your quilt.

I am doing twin and making them 60 x 85. They are going on bunk beds, so I did want too much hanging over. I think your size is good.
