I like the blue! I don't see anything ugly about it and I have very good eyesight!

I don't think it's ugly at all! And I like the white. But it's strictly a personal preference. It's going to be lovely either way. Make sure and show us when it's done, so we can all say "I told you so!" :P :P

I agree with everyone else, no such thing as an ugly quilt. I pick out fabrics to make a quilt, they look beautiful together, I get them home and I don't care for them as much, once I get working on the quilt, it looks great.
I think the blue pops out the colors more

Your blocks are beautiful not ugly at all. I liked the idea of the white border, but you might want to find a medium to dark patterned yellow fabric and do a border first before using the white. In other words do a double border so the white won't look so stark. the Blue is lovely as well but again I would do a medium to dark patterned yellow fabric and do a double border. I think the blocks are lovely and two borders would frame them well.

The blue brings out the yellow nicely.

How about separating the 2 sides- the white and the blue backgrounds and frame them with red. I think it would make the quilt "pop."
Don't think " ugly." Remember people used to make quilts without thinking too much about how they look, because they were so useful. However, I must admit that I made one that seemed ugly to me. Guess what, though? I cut it up and inserted new pieces and it looked quite different.

I like the white, it makes the blues 'pop'. Also it would be nice to have a narrow blue border. Don't say ugly, it is sure far from that.
