I like the quilt. I like the white sashing. It lightens the whole quilt and makes it look like it belongs in a cottage at the seashore. I love the blue sashing also because it pops those darker blues and with your placement of blocks, it makes the eye move around your quilt. Good luck:)

OK keep an open mind here. A rich mustard color or dark camel color will make your quilt pop. Take a few of your quilted blocks to the fabric store and place them on a bolt of either of these colors and I think you will be happy! I would go with the mustard.

This is LOVELY GORGEOUS quilt!!! I LIKE IT-truly. Like the white lots with it. Also LOVE the deep gold in the row closest to camera...on white background. It might be pretty to have little gold squares of a rich gold in corners. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU LIKE! Keep going - you're just about to get there sugar-bee!

I think the blue pulls it together nicely. As mentioned by everyone else - it is SO not ugly. Finish it up so you can start on your next masterpiece.
My first quilting teacher use to always say "It's ok that this one is not perfect, this is not your masterpiece, your next quilt will be your masterpiece."

Beautiful…not ugly. I like the blue…and I love the combinations you have…especially the dark blue with the yellow flowers and the light blue with the bright yellow. I am a very, very new quilter so I would not venture to give advice…but I wonder how it would look with a frame around the whole outside in your bright yellow or dark blue? Then a space of your light blue and then whatever you call the finishing edge (see, told you I am not a quilter!) Anyway, I would love to have gotten as far as you have with such nice results! Please post when you finish :)

I love the colors you chose - blue and yellow are what I am using to make a quilt for my little mama who has alzheimers. She is always cold and this is something I am hoping will give her a little piece of me. Anyway, I like the white - but either way, I agree - this is in no way ugly. Good job. Finish it and you will be so proud of yourself.
