Thanku for the help! When I started laying it out, I was overwhelmed...I wanted to make quilts like my grandma had made...this is not it. lol But I will continue on...may either just sew it all together and add a couple of borders? or use the blue sashing. Either way, thanku all for helping with my panic attack. My poor husband had to take the pic and help me get this on site. He thanks u too. He's just hoping the whole thing will go away so he can watch Sunday football. Thanks agin.

ok, I am going to suggest something different from everyone - why not use the blue for the sashing with white squares in each corner of the sashing? By the way - I LOVE the colors you chose.

I like the blue sashing but add a yellow corner block where the sashing striips come together. It would tie in both colors. The maybe a narrow inner border of yellow and possibly a yellow binding.

I do not agree with the ones say that say there are no ugly quilts because I have seen ugly quilts (In fact have one myself.) so I know what I am talking about. YOURS IS NOT UGLY... I like the blue best. :D

You'll be surprised at how proud you're gonna be with your 1st quilt. My 1st 3 were so wonky,so off center & just about every thing that could be wrong, was wrong.
But you know, when they brought them back from long arm quilter,I had tears in my eyes. They were all so pretty....& I was so very proud that I'd stuck with it, learning from mags & books.
Someday, you'll realize just how much you love that 1st quilt.Enjoy it.....just do whatever looks best to you. It's gonna be a beauty.

Sometimes I think we say our quilts are 'ugly' because we're afraid someone else will think so, so if we say it first they don't have to. Well, as you can see, there is no one who thinks your quilt-to-be is ugly!

I really like how your dark blue pillowcases make your squares pop. Have you ever thought about using a dark blue for sashing or borders?

Oh, I love blue and yellow. The blue sashing looks better to me.
