    I found my grandmothers old singer and know nothing about it. Can some of you please help me out. I know it needs restoring but don't know were to begin.

    check out Billy's tute on vintage machines in the "Virtual" section on this board. He's great!

    There's a website that I found by searching on "Singer" that listed the serial #s in groups by date (year) of manufacture and location. Yours looks a lot like the one I was doing a search on and it was made in the 1930s in New Jersey.

    Do look in the "Virtual" section for all sorts of good stuff about vintage machines!
