I meant the silcone slider that you put on the base of your sewing machine to help the material slide easier.

I went to the garden dept at Walmart and bought garden gloves with the sticky palms. They are cheaper $5 and work just as well.

You may also want to try putting a slippery mat under the quilt. It is possible to use silicon oven sheet and cut a hole for the needle - hold it down with tape.

Wax your machine bed and make some quilt sandwiches to practice on. Usually practice is needed. You will appreciate some of the quilting gloves. I'm still practicing because I have not learned to move my fabric smoothly enough to produce the result i want, but it's gettig better.

Quilting gloves have little "grippers" on the palms and fingers and they are just great to help you guide your quilt smoothly through the machine.
