I'm pressing my fabrics for another Bargello also. Guess I'm in the vast minority Because I think the cream makes more sense. It continues the pattern and "white caps" the teal waves and carries on with the movement your piece has. JMHO, I would paint the frame a teal shade with a cream paint wipe off or vice versa. Or use white oak or pine and do a teal stain wiped off or a dark wood frame. Ok that's way more than my 2 cents so I'll stop now...sorry! Too much HGTV and DIY Network I guess

I'll be the odd one, I vote for cream. The teal looks very strong, whereas the cream looks softer. I'd like to try a small bargello as well, this gives me inspiration. Our daughter is getting married, and I'd like to do her wedding colours in a mini, and mount behind a window pane.................I'll have to think about that some more.

I like the teal in the corners. My "logic" is that it balances the teal in the center of the bottom portion. The cream in the corners gives the illusion that the top portion is rounded off at the corners. Of course the illusion will change depending on the binding you use. Interesting question.
