I am planning to attend the quilt show in Hershey in July 2011. Can someone recommend quilt shops in the area that are worth while visiting. Thank you!

Hershey, PA. is only about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from the Amish area where there are a lot of quilt shops in the surrounding towns of Lancaster. I am sure that if you are attending a quilt show there will be quite a few vendors selling their wares.

Actually I've covered the quilt shops in most of Lancaster. I thought I'd try Hershey area. There will be 80 vendors at this show, and the promotion company is not listing vendors at the show. Also you usually get discounts from the area vendors when there is a show.

There is only 1 in Hershey Quiltmakers cottage. The Ladies there are fantastic! I went there when my husband had to go to Hershey for a groom expo.

I don't remember how far away Hershey is from Hagerstown, MD, but not too far. There is a very nice quilt store there called Wilson's on Marsh Pike. PM me if you want more info.

I found a few in the area, but they are much more spread apart than the Lancaster area. I plan to go up for a day to the Hershey show too.

Hershey is well know for Hershey Park & of course "chocolate" world !!
But if your only looking for quilting shops you might want to check out the better business bureau listings.
