hexagon tree skirt

hexagon tree skirt
I saw a photo of a hexagon tree skirt on Pinterest. Does anyone know of a FREE pattern for such a thing? it was 6 strips of fabric sewn together and cut on 60 degree angles, then sewn together to make a tree skirt. It sounds pretty straight forward, but would feel more comfortable if I could find a Free pattern or tutorial. I don't know anything about whether the designer has exclusive rights to this pattern, but cannot afford to purchase a pattern for just one tree skirt. Rather save my money for fabric. A big thanks to anyone that can offer advice or links.

Here's one free tutorial. Maybe it's what you're looking for. There are numerous versions of hexagon tree skirts and if this one isn't what you're looking for, it might help to get a link of the one you saw.

I used the Triangle Frenzy pattern as a tree skirt. This thread was posted prior to finishing it. I just put a large grommet in the center. ( table top tree) Or you could cut an opening to wrap it around a tree stand.
