    Best of luck in finding your "niche" in today's market. I think organically grown veggies and. as suggested, try some unusual ones like kohlrabi, white eggplant, and though not unusual, kale which is very popular now.

    I'm in KS and we've had a very weird summer--way more rain than normal and cool temps all Spring until after the 4th--when it turned steamy. As a result, everyone's garden has been mediocre at best--mine's a disaster--and my kohlrabi never even came up. My daughter told me today that in the city they saw kohlrabi priced at $5 a lb! And that the bundles were fairly big and you couldn't separate. So do investigate those unusual veggies.
