    Default Hickory nuts?/hexies

Just cruising around this morning and found this tute here on board by Edie demoing this hexie design...I am intrigued....first by how I missed it to begin with, and now how " cute" they are....anyone here doing these by chance.....found the website....am going to look into ordering .......I need more hands and definitely more years!.

Edie, where are you...are you still here...I have your tute on cathedral windows. Thanks for that!

here is the tut that Geri B is referring to http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...ks-t27345.html
Geri means Eddie, not Edie [who is a different member]
Eddie is not on the QB often... his last activity was 05-05-2014

Thanks for the post. Really interesting concept with doing a border on each hex. I actually bought a set of 1", 2" & 3" and they would work with this pattern.

I was thinking the same thing today...I have GO hexies and there are other sizes at Sizzix...could do same technique using nested hexies.....question: I know the templates called hickory nuts are patented...,but can the design be made using a method other than with those templates?

I used Eddie ' s tutorial but made my own templates and made a set of coasters for a friend.

Thanks for the link to the tute. I have the small and large set and want to use them for scrappy projects. Am a visual learner and was a little confused by the written instructions. Thanks again.
