Just wondering if anybody uses the Hinterberg floor standing hoop for hand quilting. I would really like to rekindle my hand quilting skills, and I saw an unused but new hoop on Craigslist for a price I cannot refuse!. Off I go tonight to pick it up. What do you think of the hoop, the one I am getting is a 29" diameter.

Mine is 22 inches, which is just big enough. I love it! My frame and I have made many quilts over the last 3 years.

You may find the 29" too wide. It can become awkward to stretch your arms that much. However, Hinterberg makes good frames and you may really like it.

Don't stretch if it's too big for your arm length, just reposition the quilt. This brand is very expensive so if it is a great price buy it!

I have one and did my one and only hand quilted quilt on it. I was impressed with the frame (hoop) and with the ease of use but not with my hand quilting abilities. If anybody on this board wants one I still have it taking up much needed room in the closet. Free to good home, pick-up only in La Quinta, CA. First PM (if any) gets it.
