Hoarder...Who Needs tv?????

Okay, I had a room like this. It isn't lots better yet, but I'm finding if I get 2 of those priority mail boxes that cost 11.00 to mail and set them to the side of my chair, I have an easier time giving away stuff to people who need. I'm not good at selling so I give it away.
So far this year I have sent 15 surprise boxes to people who love to sew and quilt, but don't have money for fabric. I have also started including a few coordinating fabrics into my swaps. My stash is now manageable. I sent all my scraps to different quilters who like those leftovers.
Of course all the wonderful people who sent me fabric a couple of years ago, I'm using it too, but what you sent was already organized. I'm talking about the 3 moving boxes of fabric I started collecting and didn't use. Quilt kits I didn't make. I'm sharing in my plenty with people in need. It is more fun than tossing it. and it works for me.

Debbie, you definitely are a treasure on this wonderful board. I LOVED your pics and sure wished I lived closer to help you out. I love to organize other people's "stuff", lol!! I know you can do this, you're the Energizer Bunny! Since you have TWO rooms, put fabric in one and all your other crafts in the other. NO more buying or trading until this is cleaned up or at least until your RETREAT in May, lol! I read every post and you're NOT the only one that has this situation and you've gotten others to clean up their rooms too. See I told you that you're GOOD for this board. Just work on it a little every day and less time on this board(like that's going to happen, lol!) and you'll have a handle on it in no time or when help arrives. At least I didn't cry or laugh when I saw your pics.

Lordy, Lordy, Miss Molly .... how do you find anything? You are really very
creative in spite of being disorganized. Think what you could accomplish
once you have everything in order , and you have so many beautiful fabrics
to work with.

It's so interesting that you should send this to me as next Monday night
at 8pm on my show 'Enough Already! with Peter Walsh' on the Oprah Winfrey
Network, the person that I help declutter is also a quilter whose house is
even worse than this one.

Peter: You can come to my house any time you want or need an extra house to help. I need to get organized for a blind person so I am more able to function and have more independence.
