Feel free. ANd go ahead.....a good laugh is probably a good thing. I don't mind.

I started collecting years ago, fabricoholic, spender, etc. I liked She who dies with the most fabric wins, but then I decided to share and this is what happened. It comes apart easier that it goes back together.

Under all that is a sewing table, a cutting table, ironing table, shelves on every wall, empty right now...... This makes me feel so helpless. I have people who have come over to take lots of stash and boxes full, but they did not help. SO no more visitors. My hubby shakes his head. And until it is done, I am so stressed because of it. I used to go in and sew all day, everything had a place, I loved my room. grrrrrrrrrrrr
Peter Walsh would say you're not respecting yourself... I wish I could help you out of that just like I am doing with my friend. Just start one pile or box at a time. Think, " do I want this or room to sew? Hugs to you!

YOU are and organizer! great ideas.

I can pretty much find whatever I need to "get to" but it could be a hazard on my brittle bones. lOL.
Just not all fabric either, in that room are paints for one stroke painting, jewelry making items, fabric, project boxes, completed quilts, quilt tops, fq's, tons of canvas I will never use, books, mags, crochet, yarn, sock yarn, need I say more. I am in to all kinds of crafts and I always have to buy it all when I start a new one. I am not going to ever do this again. I'm getting too old to deal with it. LOL
I will keep updates with pictures, when I start. Might be in May when NP3 comes. LOL. It's all good now. I feel a bif rock lifted off my shoulders. Thanks everyone for being so positive for me. I lvoed every single one of the comments, ebven the shocked ones..And did you have to email my pictures to the family???? That must mean you needed to make your room look better too. LOL. Feel free to share. It's the truth. *H*U*G*S*
There are a lot of people rooting for you here! A great place to start is donating all the stuff you said you won't ever use again. Make some one else happy! I realize it may be hard to get to some of that stuff. :) Take one step at a time.

    Nancy,
I want in on this. I live close to Debbie and Kathy.
I have two spare bedrooms, each with their own bath,
just waiting for someone to occupy them. I need to
get the 4th bedroom (which is now my sewing room),
straightened up and organized enough that I can also
use it as another bedroom when all our kids are here
at the same time. My FIL passed away 2 weeks ago,
and my MIL came and stayed with us the better part
of the following week. Our kids and their spouses were
here also, and I so wished I had a bed in my sewing room.
I can definitely see a need for it in the future, now that
my FIL is gone. I go in there and look around, and
just walk out, because I can't wrap my head around
what I need to do to get it organized. Boy could I use
some help! When you get through with the other two,
come on over. I desperately need some help! :-D

    Charhend,
I just saw your offer. I wasn't at the meeting in Jan,
but plan to be there at the next one. Would you come
help me too? :? I'm not too proud to beg....

Like you, I'll be posting some more FS in a day or two. I really like the new QB rules. I've seen new posters pop up and think it's good for the board. 'Looks like most (but not all) are playing by the rules.
    Thanks again for the motivation!

I bet you aren't the first person that walked away and started cleaning something!!! heehee!

I wish I lived close to you. I love digging into a mess and organizing it. It would be so much fun for me to be there helping you. My advice is to start in one small area and get that all cleaned out and sorted. Then you will feel energized that you did it and will be able to go on to the next area. Take chocolate and coffee breaks to keep your mood high. Good Luck!
