I found when I went to H L they took the 40% off even if you don't have the coupon. I have done it several times that way. Nice place if a little spendy, same as Joann's who now has announcements that they will match anyone else's sale items.

The HL here does not take other stores coupons. The best you can do is use the 40% off. They will take it for everything even where signs are 30% off.

Does HL carry a lot of fabrics, and how is the quality? We have one in Lex., but I have never gone. I usually buy at Hancocks, how would they compare?

I have found the quality of the fabrics at HL are comparable to JoAnn's and Hancocks. And they have a large selection of the Kona cotton solids, which I like very much.

The fabric department at my HL is not very big, but they usually have what I need. And the employees usually give 3-4" extra on each piece they cut.

The one here in Richmond has really nice stuff, and it's 30% off all the time.

I really like the fabric dept. at HL - use the 40% coupon often. Even if they have 30% off something, if you have your coupon you get the 40%.
