    Default Home made Templates

I just got back from my local Hardware store which made me 2 acrylic templates to perfect specifications. I just had to sand the edges a little bit with my nail file. I'm working on one of Derek Lockwoods star quilts and didn't like the idea of buying his templates in addition to the pattern. I also don't like making my own templates from the flimsy plastic that you can buy from the store. So, $5.00 later, I'm good to go!!!!! Happy Quilting.

Awesome. What's the difference between acrylic & plexiglass?

I've had my local glass shop do this for me out of plexiglass. Works well! and usually cheaper than the ready made templates

Have you ever used the heavier acrylic nail files in your sewing room - OPI has some great ones that I just love
